With your feet in the air and your head on the ground

Try this trick and spin it, yeah
Your head will collapse
But there's nothing in it
and you'll ask yourself
Where is my mind?
Where is my mind?
Where is my mind?

ASHLEY, COMMANDING OFFICER.
So, I'm just coming off a hard day's work that followed an epically awesome weekend. Well, epically awesome for the most part. We were supposed to close on the house Friday afternoon, of course true to nature, that didn't work out like planned. Have I ever mentioned that nothing every works out like planned for me? Not ever, actually. Haha. Anyway, Nikki P. came down Friday afternoon and we galavanted around town awhile then went to a movie with Lauren. The movie was "In Time" and featured my boyfriend, Justin Timberlake. He's so wonderful. Anyway, the movie was pretty good but if ever there was a movie chock full of propaganda...that would be the one.

Saturday was awesome, we woke up early and traipsed over to the Farmer's Market to tailgate with Tomato's Citadel buddies. It was great to catch up with all of them and play some corn hole. If you don't know what corn hole is...you're probably stupid or lame...you may even be both. We then did what all our respective school's alumni should have done. We watched football. Of course, South Carolina won but, it wasn't nearly as pretty as I would have liked it to have been. Never the less, I wore a little Citadel blue ribbon tied to my shoe and cheered for the Bulldogs in the 4th quarter...only after I was sure they were going to lose. Much to Tomato's dismay it wasn't a 100-5 Citadel game. It was a 41-20 South Carolina game. Oh yeah, and Clemson lost too. It was a great day for football. Here are some shots from the game. I really enjoyed photographing The Citadel Boys. They have the best facial expressions.

Okay, I'll stop...there were just SO many good ones. :)

After the game Nikki P. and I came back to my house (not really my house) and watched Up, because that crazy woman had never seen it before. Then, we went to Wild Wing...watched an epic cover band and talked with the guys some more. We danced, we (they, I was wingman, DD, and awesome ass friend) drank, and were merry. We eventually made it down to 5 points. If you know anything about 5 points, you know this...this is where the undergraduate, underage crowd of USC come to get schwastey faced. Always an amusing place to people watch. We've already had the discussion of my love for people watching, so I will stop boring you. Lauren came out eventually and we hung until closing time.

Sunday came, Nikki P. went home after a hugely fun weekend. Then, Sarah and I had a girl date. I love girl dates with Sarah. This will continue. Yes, they will. I picked up Ms. Linda from the airport in Charlotte that night and had some pumpkin cheesecake from The Cheesecake Factory. Nom.

Monday...Monday...Monday...I BOUGHT AN EFFING HOUSE. I'm still not sure wether it's okay to be excited. However, I did go buy a doormat, a wine rack and a bottle of Moscato. I seriously contemplated the repercussions of sitting on the front porch and drinking the entire bottle to congratulate myself. However, my better judgement won out and I placed the full bottle in the wine rack to enjoy at a later date. Sarah and Ryan then took me out to a congratulatory dinner at Mellow Mushroom, which is as always the bees knees. Now, they're my neighbors. I love my neighbors.

TOMATO, THE HUBS.
Tomato, is quite possibly more excited than I am by this house buying business. I can't wait to see his face when he walks through the door. I have made up my mind not to sleep in the master bedroom until he gets home. So, he'll come home to a nice beautiful house, a huge new bed and a room that has been decorated and never lived in. Personally, I think it's a sweet sentiment and just goes to show you how awesome of a wife I really am.

Almost there darling. Just a little longer. We're almost there.

ZERO, THE DRAGON.
I'm kind of getting worried about him, honestly. I'm scared he's going to really miss the bulldogs. It's got me kind of scared that I won't be enough for him anymore.
