You know that you are not alone,

need you like water in my lungs.

This was quite possibly one of the suckiest days I have ever had in my nursing career. Not only did I get disrespected but it happened in FRONT of a patient, disintegrating all my rapport, integrity and perceived competence with it. I was literally so angry I came back to the ER and had to stand in the trauma bay for 5 minutes just having a breakdown.

Mind you, I did nothing wrong. My charge nurse is great and she handles things. Thank God. I just needed a leg to stand on today. I literally spent the whole day running and didn't leave the hospital till about 2030 and arrived home sometime before 2100.

I love my job, I love the rush of the ER. I loved today for the most part, until the end when I felt like I couldn't keep my head above water. I was quite literally drowning and the tasks that had to be done. I think it was largely due to the confrontation I had.

And, because I'm not the type of person that "dumps" on people, I stayed well past the end of my shift and completed everything I could think of before I left. The nurse who took over after me is thankfully very sweet and was willing to help me out with some tasks.

This was me all day. Haha. I like it, time flies...but there comes a point, where you just lose your mind.

Anyways, vent over.

Tomato is healing quite well. He's down to 1 pain pill every 4 hours as opposed to 2 every 4 hours. He's up playing Call Of Duty: Black Ops as we speak. He even played rings with Zero some. :)

Anyway, that's that.
