ASHLEY, COMMANDING OFFICER.
...is tired. I don't feel like I ever get enough sleep. Not ever. Not ever ever. I have to work tomorrow. I'm tired.
Anyway, I've been off orientation a week now. It's been kosher. It's good to have my freedom back. It's good to get my pace back. I'm really enjoying it at LMC. I'm pretty happy there. I also really enjoy the people I work with. Everyone is super helpful. It's been a good experience. I'm rambling.
So yeah, I had dinner with LA the other day at Mellow Mushroom. I missed her. She's one of the best friends I've ever had. It's always great to catch up with her, laugh and reminisce. Anyway, we had a pizza and it was epic...like always.
Today, I had the pleasure of the company of someone I've not seen in quite some time. Kevin, is someone I've known since elementary school. He is also someone I've not seen since graduation from high school. He's a wonderful soul. I can't say that many people I know are born to do certain things. However, when you talk to Kevin...you realize that he was born to help the disadvantaged. He really was born for that. Anyway, we dug through my storage and found a few books he wanted to borrow and then went out to eat some Mexican food. We then treated ourselves to some cupcakes. It was great catching up.
Deployment goal #14 is coming right along.
I've been consciously working on my "will power" these days. Most of this comes with eating. I'm forcing myself not to eat when I'm bored and to not eat after a certain time at night. I hope this helps. I really need to get cracking on deployment goal #1. But, that's a different story.
TOMATO, THE HUBS.
...skyped me this morning. He woke me up from a nap, but I didn't mind. He's wonderful. He looks wonderful. I'm just happy to see him.
I don't even know what to say here anymore. I'm sad.
ZERO, THE DRAGON.
...had his staples removed this afternoon and got a clean bill of health. Now he's free to play frisbee and free to swim....or if he wants, play frisbee while swimming. He could not be happier at this time.
He also had to get a few shots with this visit, but everything is up to date now. I think we did a wonderful thing by purchasing "dog health insurance". It's been a great investment so far. I go to the vet, get numerous things done and pay a very minimal monthly fee. It's great.
I'm glad he's back to normal. :)
