No, I'm not lucky.

I'm blessed.

ASHLEY, COMMANDING OFFICER.
...has been a VERY busy girl. I had a job interview at PHR on Monday and right after LMC called me and offered a job. A job that pays considerably more than I was getting at Onlsow. A job close to my family. A job with good retirement. A job with a full staff. A job with a 3:1 patient ratio.

...then I said..."Let me call you back, I gotta think about it."

5 minutes later...(to myself) "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU THINKING! YOU ALREADY KNOW WHAT YOU WANT! TAKE THE JOB!" So, I call the nursing recruiter back with an eager "I accept!!"

So, now I'm an employee of LMC's Emergency Department. I attend orientation on Monday. Have my PPD placed already and I'm ready and rarin' to go. I would be lying if I said that I wasn't nervous. Hopefully everything turns out well and no surprises. I hate surprises. I feel like things are coming together so nicely that a surprise is bound to "pop up" any time now.

I've been making Timmy's third care package all night. It's pretty cute. He's gonna love it. I'm not sending it though, until I get confirmation that he received at least one of my last two. Those things need to hurry up.

TOMATO, THE HUBS.
...is still in Afghanistan. Surprise!
Anyway, he's sounding like he's adjusting better to the time zone there. The only thing he really lets me in on is that "it's sandy, dusty and hot." I can deal with that I guess.

I can tell he's been working hard. I hope he gets the care pacakges soon though.

ZERO, THE DRAGON.
...has had a rough day. He was fine until about 1400. Then, Ms. Linda yells up to me that something's the matter with Zero's head. Sure enough, he had tiny little raised bumps and a large wet/sticky/painful area on his right cheek.

I shove Benadryl down his throat and promptly call the veterinarian and take him in. Apparently he's had an auto-immune reaction to something as well as an allergic reaction to something else. So he's now on an oral antibiotic regimen after receiving IM steroids and antibiotics in the office. He's also got a large chunk of his fur shaved off. Poor dude.

He's just as sweet as ever. Minus, the who peeing on the end cap at Petsmart. That's okay though, because while we were at the vet I had them give him the workup to get neutered. BWAHAHAHA.

30 DAY PHOTO CHALLENGE
Day 19
(a picture and a letter)
This is legit stupid. I have no idea what that means.
