Gonna hold ya, gonna kiss ya in my arms

Gonna take ya, away from harm.

ASHLEY, COMMANDING OFFICER.
...is so thankful that she is able to spend time with Tomato before he leaves. I've had to share a lot, but it's not been so bad. I just don't know how I'm going to deal with the fact he's leaving soon and no one will be here to hold my hand.

I'm kind of in a haze, I guess. He's here now, I can't imagine he won't be here next week. We are living day to day like we always have. I guess I'm in that "withdrawing from the situation" state of goodbye they warned us about in the pre-deployment briefing. Sometimes. Other times, it hits me like a ton of bricks and seems almost unbearable. I keep fearing the worst, getting upset because I feel like I deserve more time with him before he has to leave. But mostly, it's just day to day.

We went from Myrtle Beach to Charleston to Columbia and back to Myrtle Beach this weekend. We went to a graduation dinner with Timmy's cousin, out to Applebee's to see Brooke for her birthday, to breakfast with Timmy's mom and grandmother, to dinner with Ms. Linda and Sarah, Johnny Rockets for lunch the next day and then had dinner with my grandfather and Nole. Then today, we had lunch with Timmy's dad and step mother. It was all very busy, but we definitely did not get shorted in the food department this weekend. I've literally probably gained 23048 pounds. The best part of the weekend was just laying by the pool and relaxing in the hot tub with Tomato. It's like I finally got a chance to remember he was my husband. Everything is just happening in a whirlwind. It's hard for me to keep up.

Some of the greatest things about the weekend :)
Now, we are back in Jacksonville. We raided the dollar store for boxes today, bought some bubble wrap and packing tape...a file holder. We then went and got quotes on Uhaul and that crap is killa expensive. It's whatever though, I'm just ready to be home...like yesterday.

This is going to go by in a blink, right?

TOMATO, THE HUBS.
...is taking everything in epic strides. I just wish that our time together this weekend had not been interrupted by the epic amount of phone calls he had to take. Apparently nothing can happen correctly when he's not there and we both had to deal with a plethora of phone calls from various co workers all weekend. It was frustrating to say the least.

This all really isn't phasing him yet, though I know he'll miss Zero and I.

ZERO, THE DRAGON.
We picked up Zero from the kennel today. He loves that place, but he was so happy to see us. He loves us. He's precious.

...but he still hates the car, like seriously. Apparently the kennel was impressed with his frisbee skills.
