Load the car and write the note.

Grab your bag and grab your coat.
Tell the ones that need to know.
We are headed north.

Happy Valentine's Day...Eve!

Tomato and I went to Columbia yesterday so that he could meet Colin for the first time. It was sweet. He held the baby like he was an alien from outer space though. That was pretty amusing. It was cute all 'round. He even used the Boppy to prop him. It's kind of strange foreshadowing. I don't know how I would be as a parent, but Tomato, he's going to be an epic parent. It's nice to think about, but no time soon.

Oh yeah, the cupcake. Vanilla Buttermilk with Vanilla Frosting, homemade...of course.

ASHLEY, COMMANDING OFFICER.
...has a dilemma. It mostly is a choice, but a hard choice to make. Tomato and I have been talking about me moving back home. Mostly, so that I can get my Master's degree and so that I can start settling there, buying a house and what not. I just can't see doing it without him.

He wants me to go, because he thinks it's going to make me happier. In truth, it may...but I can't see carrying on a life without him. Especially for two years. I mean, we've done it before, but it's different now. Kind of. He's been talking about maybe going on reserve duty when his EAS approaches, and getting a civilian job. That, or seeing if the Columbia recruiting station has a admin billet he can take over. With one, we take a pretty big pay cut...and the other, well, we don't know that it's possible yet.

I mean, we've got two years...but yeah. It's time to make some plans.

Oh yeah, I have two weeks off from work! Well deserved, I think. Love my job, but sometimes it's good to sit back and take a little break.

I'll be going back up to Lexington later in the week to help Sarah with Colin. I can't say that I'm not excited! He's such a little handsome man and Sarah is such a wonderful mommy.

TOMATO, THE HUBS.
...leaves for EMV very soon. I hate this time of year. He's going as support staff but it's still scary to think he could be deployed, even though that is what he's supposed to do.

He's almost completely healed from his hernia repair, still a little sore now and then but nothing to really stop and think about. He went back to work last week. He held out pretty well from what I can tell.

He bought me roses for Valentines, with a card that said:

"I know we agreed to no Valentine's Day, but I wanted to tell you
on this day that you are my world and I love you more than anything.
Love, Mato"

:)

ZERO, THE DRAGON.
Zero had to ride in the car for 10 hours yesterday. He was super pissed. He hates the car, next time I'm dopin' that sucker up. I'm glad he doesn't hold a grudge. He's running around wagging his tail and annoying everyone with the stupid ball, per usual.

Above, you will notice a picture of Zero in never ending agony. He curls in a ball and pants the entire time.

Anyway, that does it. Have a happy Valentine's Day followers.
