Oh, this has gotta be the good life.

This has gotta be the good life.
This could really be a good life, good life.

ASHLEY, COMMANDING OFFICER.
...has still get tons of things to pack. Mr. Dan should be picking up the moving truck today at noonish and then be on his merry way to Jacksonville so we can load up in the morning. I'm not really sure if I have to be around on Friday to do this inspection on this house. I'd really rather not be, It's gonna suck to have to drive all the way to Columbia and then all the way back to Jacksonville, NC just to do a stupid inspection. That's a lot of money to worry about spending.

My last day working at Onslow was yesterday. Everyone was so nice. Mrs. Faye made me a little lunch and Mrs. Sandy made me a cake and Ms. Pam made me a cake too....but I didn't share that one. Yesterday was my last day, but also a very stressful day. The beginning was ridiculous and completely unnecessary. By the end of the day, I ended up taking care of a copperhead bite that was supposed to belong to someone else. Out with a bang, I suppose.

Becca and them have been packing a lot of my house, which I am insanely grateful for. I can't imagine having to come home and have the whole house worth of packing to deal with. I mean, there's still a crap ton to be done, but not more than can be handled.

I just really hope that Ashley comes over today and raids my kitchen for food. One less thing to have to worry about.

I'll be in Columbia soon! I'm excited to be around my family and friends again. I'm excited to be back apart of the life that I miss. But, it still won't be perfect. I won't have my Tomato there, that would make it infinity times better. I'll be starting his first care package soon, he's already made requests. I've been speaking with him from Afghanistan lately, which means he got there safe.

Also, obviously...the world did not end.

I just wish my husband was here.

TOMATO, THE HUBS.
...is safe and sound, but complaining of the temperature and dust in the desert. I think I would be complaining too if the temperature was 120 degrees Fahrenheit. I can't imagine, I can't even deal with it being 100 degrees in the Southern United States.

He's already lost his razor blade handle and his soap dish. The ones we just bought before he left on deployment. So after a stern talking to about not losing his stuff and keeping up with said stuff, I have ideas for care packages. Alls well that ends well.

He's about 8.5 hours ahead of us in Afghaniland, as he affectionally refers to his geography. This makes communication a little more difficult. I haven't been able to Skype him since he left Germany, but I take what I can get, when I can get it. However, the moments that do come, are glorious.

ZERO, THE DRAGON.
...is still crazy about Jeffie...and following him around everywhere. He snuggles him and fights him and even plays rawhide with him. I think Zero does well with small dogs, better than with large ones anyway.

30 DAY PHOTO CHALLENGE
Day 14
(a picture of someone you can't imagine your life without)
I can't imagine my life without him, but lately...I've had to try.
