one foot in sea and one on shore.
So, I've been living in Jacksonville for a hot minute now. It still sucks. I still wish I were home, but it's becoming more bearable. Mind you, not in the "I could live here forever sense." My job is rewarding, the people I work with are great. I've heard some interesting stories, seen some interesting stories play out and have expanded my own. I guess, I just become more and more ready for the next chapter.
Not that I want children or another dog. I just feel antsy about leaving, about settling somewhere enjoyable.
TOMATO, THE HUBS.
Tomato is enjoying his job a lot more, but I don't think he likes our geography either. With that said, there is nothing we can do about it except wait it out a few more years.
He was promoted to 1st Lt in December. I'm proud if him, he's proud he got a raise. He's been all about paying off every debt we've ever incurred. Though, I think it's sometimes at the expense of our fun. I've gotta hand it to him though, we should be debt free in about a year and a half...and that includes my car which was financed for five years but will be paid off in three.
He's having surgery Monday. I'm unreasonably anxious about this. I just don't like the fact that people I care about have to have surgery? I don't know, I'm pretty sure I'm psycho. I believe the fact that his family will be visiting around the same time is stressing me out. Not that I don't love them, it's just all the cleaning, cooking and the surgery on top of it all. Not to mention, I still have to work a full time job.
Oyeah, he turned 25!
ZERO, THE DRAGON.
He does Zero things. It snowed a few days here recently and he LOVED it. I mean, the guy rolls around in the stuff. However, I don't think he likes it when it comes to pooping and peeing since readily available grass is scarce.
He's taken a liking to his "house" lately. He "stole" one of Tomato's fleece blankets and made himself a warm little nest, he's also taken to hiding under the bed...which he hasn't done since he was a wee dragon.
Well, that pretty much does it then. We'll hopefully be booking our cruise today...that is if Tomato's new found frugality doesn't interfere. Gives me something to look forward to.
Album of the week:
Just wanted to say your cupcakes look really yummy! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks! They were rainbow cupcakes. :)
ReplyDeleteDon't worry about cooking and cleaning. Remember Tim Sr. doesn't care, Elaine is a cleaning fanatic and I love to cook. So if it needs done we'll do it. Relax and enjoy the few more days with Timothy while he's able. We'll see you in a few more days. Love y'all.
